More cruise lines this week extended their operations pause through November, with some going deep into 2021.
Royal Caribbean Group extended the suspension of sailings on three of its brands. Royal Caribbean International canceled all cruises through Nov. 30, excluding ones from Hong Kong. Celebrity Cruises suspended additional cruises, including its entire 2020-2021 winter program in Australia and Asia. And Azamara canceled all sailings through spring, when it will resume service in Europe on March 20. Silversea was already on pause through December.
Seabourn canceled all sailings on three of its five ships into 2021. The Seabourn Odyssey through Jan. 15, the Seabourn Ovation through April 18 and the Seabourn Encore until May 28. The line already canceled the Seabourn Quest's sailings through May 10, and its Seabourn Sojourn through May 24.
Earlier this week, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings' three brands, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, extended their operations pause through Nov. 30. Carnival Cruise Line last week canceled cruises from all U.S. homeports except Miami and Port Canaveral in November and December.
The moves come on the heels of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's decision to extend its No Sail Order for cruise ships through Oct. 31.
